the new economy

alas, my favorite band, Guided By Voices, broke up on New Year’s Day 2005. fortunately, they’ve left a legacy of hundreds — if not thousands of songs. I’ve put together a carefully-selected playlist of my favorite GBV songs — 89 of them. That’s 3 hours, sixteen minutes; taking up only 180MB on my iPod. Doing the math, each song averages 2 minutes, 12 seconds and just over 2MB. You’ve got to love that efficiency...

ocean daydream —

tilt

you don’t even begin.
but lest I assume a combative tone,
I take a page from the field manual
of our distinguished commander-in-chief
and call a spade a club,
then promptly hit you with it.
