HUGE pet peeve.
there is a beautiful warmth to hearing a cd skip in the same spot because it has been loved so often. my vinyl collection can attest to this.
i never got used to this word, traffic jam. Images of cars in a sugary jar always spring to mind.
LL: similar to my feeling with the word "yamacha." always calls to mind a yamaha. an upright piano. on your head.
cognitive dissonance.

I'm hooked
colonialave - my oldest son borrowed Sublime and returned it sans the song Santeria, making me half-wish that our musical tastes
didn't sometimes overlap.
cy - ah, vinyl. to this day I sing reelin' in the years with a series of rhythmic skips in the chorus.
leeloreya - my Jeep tastes far better with FlufferNutter than with jam, but I understand your overall sentiment.
mcbickle - I have the opposite reaction to the word lugubrious: I love the sound of it, even though it means something I'd rather not experience in real life.
ma - I thank my lucky stars every day for PhotoShop.
