I Refute Descartes
He’s never known anything like it.
Then again, he’s never known anything to write home about,
therefore... there’s nothing to write home about.

Can you please source this quote? It's been driving me crazy not remembering where it's from! Thanks.
"I Refute Descartes" was said by both David Hume and Imanuel Kant. The "He's never known anything like it" quote comes from my favorite movie of all time, "Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead."
Well, of *course* it's R&G Are Dead. I'm embarrassed that I couldn't place the source—especially since that quote could serve as a thesis statement for the entire play: There is nothing in the Hamletverse except what our title characters know.
It occurs to me that any dog could also refute Descartes. They possess the ability to be unquestionably present without the need for any deliberation whatsoever.
